HARLEM- Jordan J.G. Wright, who was endorsed by Council Member Yusef Salaam back in February, is now being backed by Council Members Chris Banks and Kevin Riley. This adds to his stacked list of endorsements this campaign season. Wright is proud to receive the endorsement of strong community leaders such as the council members during these final weeks leading up to the June 25th primary.
“I’ve had the privilege of watching Jordan firsthand do the work of the people—for the people,” said Council Member Salaam. “We’ve spent countless hours together talking to our neighbors, figuring out ways to turn their pain into progress, and working with other key stakeholders to get the work done. I proudly endorse his candidacy for Assembly and look forward to having a trusted partner in Albany who I know will always prioritize the needs of the people.”
Salaam’s colleagues join his endorsement of Wright with Council Member Banks saying, "Solidarity isn't demanded, it is inspired. I am endorsing Jordan Wright because it is clear as day that he inspires this feeling in his community. Solidarity is the key to getting anything done and I have full confidence that Jordan can take this energy and transform Harlem for the better."
“Jordan Wright has consistently demonstrated his dedication to our community through his tireless efforts and proactive leadership,” said Council Member Riley. “His vision for a unified and progressive Harlem aligns perfectly with the needs of my district. I am confident that Jordan will bring the necessary energy and integrity to Albany, advocating for policies that uplift and support all residents.”
The Wright campaign has truly inspired unity among key stakeholders and community leaders in Harlem. With endorsements coming in from the current seat holder, Assembly Member Inez E. Dickens and State Senator Cordell Cleare in addition to community leaders like Council Members Salaam and Banks, it is clear that Wright is truly the candidate that the district is rallying behind.
“I’d like to thank Council Members Salaam, Banks and Riley for throwing their support behind me,” said Wright. “We’re taking this campaign into the home stretch and something really special is happening in Harlem.”
