HARLEM — Jordan J.G. Wright, a dedicated public servant and advocate for the 70th Assembly District, has officially filed his petitions to secure a place on the upcoming ballot for the June 25th Democratic primary. Filing yesterday, on the first eligible day, Wright's campaign remarkably submitted about 4,000 signatures, which amounts to about six times more than the required amount of signatures required to be on the ballot. The New York Board of Elections mandates a minimum of 500 signatures to qualify for the ballot.

Reflecting on the significance of this achievement, Wright expressed his gratitude for the support received from the community. "I believe that when you are able to get as many people as possible to sign your petitions, it shows that you're worthy of the position that you're running for," said Wright. "Our team collaborated with local Democratic clubs made up of people who are well-experienced and knowledgeable about our village which was key to making sure we didn't just collect signatures, but that we did it right."

Over the past few weeks, Wright's team has tirelessly collected signatures from Harlemites throughout the district, collaborating with esteemed local Democratic clubs including Frederick E. Samuel Democratic Club, Martin Luther King Jr. Democratic Club, Michelle Obama Community Democratic Club, Uptown Democratic Club, and West Harlem Progressive Democratic Club.

With the petitioning phase now behind them, Wright's campaign enters the next stage of election season with enthusiasm. The overwhelming support garnered through the process serves as a testament to the growing momentum behind Wright in this race.

As the campaign continues its sprint toward election day, Wright's team remains committed to engaging with the community, listening to their concerns, and working towards a brighter future for the 70th Assembly District.
